May was a very busy month! I drove to New Brunswick to catch up with one friend, then crossed over to Prince Edward Island to catch up with another visiting from the UK. A bonus for all that driving was discovery of three interesting pieces of glass that will be fused and integrated into future projects, as well as two large glass chandelier pendants. I also received a gift of a box of sea glass which is already generating future projects in my mind. Between the travel and (paid) work assignments, I did manage to finish these two pieces. The first is another in my Heritage Series, called 'Cocktail Hour', and is reminiscent of the formality of pre-dinner drinks, complete with glass coasters. The second is called 'Peony in Bloom', a symbol of those early summer days we are presently enjoying. I already have a new Heritage Series piece on the table, using a flattened oval-shaped dish and two tones of turquoise-coloured clear glass.
