Night and Day - These images capture the different character and attitude of my 'Make Mine A Double - Gin' series in extremely different light conditions. The busy corner at Preston and Beech (il Primo Restaurant) provides some great light sources for the pieces - each created from empty gin bottles which have been cut and flattened in a kiln. Coming soon - Bacardi Rum and maybe a whiskey or two....

It has been a fantastic day at Galerie Old Chelsea - the sun even broke through the clouds for a while to make my glass sparkle! I found the perfect location to show off my newest piece - 'Well Made' - which features the bottoms of two clear bottles. The top one is from a beer jug and the raised letters say 'Made in Canada' while the bottom one is from a five gallon water jug from Mexico. It was a bit of an adventure assembling this piece as the water jug is at least one inch thick in the middle. The other two pieces have been in the Galerie for a few weeks but were showing off today in the sun. So now I am ready for the next challenge which could be driving home this evening. The snow has started and the weather man is warning of 'snow squalls'. Time to break out the Storm Chips?
