Giving new life to previously-loved glass and crystal brings me joy! Global Enthusiasm combines a crystal plate and two glass bowls with spectacular glass to convey warmth and movement and to evoke memories of time spent with close friends.

Hearts In Windows has been my theme for more than a week. This morning, while checking on my dwindling stock of octagonal chandelier crystals, I modified a design I had created last week, eliminating the coloured bands to leave only the clear glass and the crystals. This stylized open heart was the result - #29 Hope / L'espoir - 13 x 17 cm or 5 x 6.5 inches. I have other shiny things so could re-create the shape, but this one was special so I decided to let the public decide who gets to keep it. It will go on the Galerie Old Chelsea Facebook site this evening as a fundraiser for Maison Libère-Elles. The auction closes Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 pm.
Hearts in Windows is an inspiring theme for me. This weekend's challenge was to create a design which incorporated hearts with a colour wheel while avoiding the cut lines at the bottom of the hearts. The other major challenge was cutting the top in one unbroken piece. I would like to create another one but have not decided if it should be more of a rainbow shape or a 'C'. Let's see what this week brings!
