"A Vow" came with me to the Galerie Old Cheslea this week to be installed. It was a beautiful sunny day and and I had a pair of spare hands for a while so we experimented, holding it in front of different paintings to see how the clear, textured glass picks up and refracts colors from the background. These images really show how versatile the clear textures are. They draw in the color from outside. If the window faces nature, the panel will change with each season. If the window faces a street, it will pick up light from any source - near-by back-lit signs, the neighbors Christmas lights, changing streetlights and car lights.

Inspired by Edinburgh (yes, Scotland) artist Gordon Ackerman, I first introduced some simple geometric lines into a curved design. Then, with his permission, I modified one of his designs and recreated it in glass. They are now hanging proudly at Galerie Old Chelsea looking for forever homes!
