Too much work and not enough play makes Helen a dull girl! I started work on a short-term contract right after I got back to Ottawa. At the same time, my Foreign Service Community Association activities also ramped up for the short term. In addition, with some of our Galerie associates travelling and another under the weather, I am doing extra duties at the Galerie in March and April.
This has left no time to play in my glass shop! I have, however, picked a theme for my solo show at Galerie Old Chelsea next May. It will be called 'Treasure Hunt / Chasse au trésor'. I have accumulated some fun and interesting bits and my plan is to have at least one of these 'treasures' in each piece I make for the show.
As the work project progresses, I have been promised a few quiet periods so I am optimistic that I will be able to get back to my workshop in April and May for a few days here and there. Stay tuned!
